Pat Mor's cottage is a 120 years old restored cottage situated in a scenic and secluded area of Connemara, aside from the usual tourist routes. It was built in the late 1890s by Pat Mor for his wife and 8 sons. His great grand nephew - organic farmer - restored the cottage in 2000 maintaining most of its original features. As such, it now offers cozy traditional Irish living with all amenities needed for a comfortable holiday. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful lakes and mountains and is thus an ideal base for a fishing and touring holiday in Galway, Connemara and Mayo. Famous Connemara locations, such as Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Killary Harbour/ Leenane, Clifden, Renvyle Peninsula are in easy driving distance. Situated between Lough Corrib, Lough Mask and Lough Nafooey, it is an ideal base for fishing and water sports. With Maamturks and Twelve Bens nearby, the cottage offers numerous possiblities for hill walking and outdoor pursuits. Bycicle hires available nearby.
